How to Upgrade Nintendo Switch Micro SD?

I have a 128gb card in the kids switch which is always running out of space, we have atmosphere etc installed.

Especially in the lead up to Black Friday I'll be looking for a 512gb sd card. If I simply clone the sd card will everything work as it should? Or should I expect something to break?
