How to use another router with the virgin super hub?

Read somewhere you can use another router with the super hub.. However those comments state the wifi for the hub was off rather than being in modem mode.

I require the same set up as I need to use all the LAN ports on my super hub but want a wired connection to my other router in another room which in turn sends out my wifi signal.

Has anyone had any success with this. On other forums people just state "oh I've done it" but offer no solution.
