How to wash a suit jacket

    Hai guaise!

its not a "proper" suit jacket its the ones that you can buy from H&M for about £40
How would I go about washing it? apart from using the dry cleaners?
I was thinking about leaving it in a cold bath for about 10mintues.

    thanks

Unless you want to ruin the suit, dry cleaners is the best way tbh.

If it's a structured jacket, you'll ruin it if you wash it. If it's a casual jacket, the best thing would be to wash it quickly by hand in cool water, then spin it and put it on a hanger to dry. Does it have any washing instructions?

    the material will go horrible....
but you can do it if you protect the suit in say a protector and run it on a good washing machine on its most delicate cycle

    You've lost it.

or you can sponge clean it on a hanger

wilkinssons has hand held garment steamers recently I think they were only about £10 I think woolworth ha them too
    good luck

Put it into a big net washing bag, if pos.. Wash with wool washing liquid on fast wool wash. Do NOT use fabric conditioer. Get out straight away when done and hang on big hangers to dry. Iron only if absolutely necessary.

Delicate wash or hand wash and low spin, then on a hanger to dry. Not 100% risk free, I usually wash 'dry clean only' stuff if it looks like it can take it. Have had one or 2 disasters, but mostly everything came out fine.

Is there a label inside it with washing instructions ?
Have you got a special date Harvey ?
