    hp n36l micro server

can anyone recommend a graphics card with hdmi out which would be suitable for a HP N36L microserver, I have done some research on this and only managed to find out that I need a half height pci x16. but if anyone has any experience with these would appreciate some advice, thanks in advance.

I have a 5450 in my N40L and not had a single problem with it

    This will help:-

and yes I know it says N40L, but the N36L is basically the same apart from the slower CPU.

Guessing you're only looking for something for playing videos, xbmc or similar? This will do the job nicely. Bought half a dozen of these for PCs at work for dual display setups and they seem to be fairly decent.

That will fit and perform similarly to the 5450 linked above (it's the same basic graphics core). If you are just looking for HDMI output and sound then there's little point paying more. I suspect you could possibly save another few quid looking for similar cards elsewhere too. However, amazons service is hard to beat.

I have one of these in mine, slightly faster than the 6450, similar power usage but a little bit faster performing so I can do some light gaming tasks and emulation.

It really depends on what you want to do with the server now and possibly in the future. Additionally what OS you are running is worth considering as well as some OS's run better with nVidia or ATI cards due to driver support.
