have been using it via ebay no problems until now!,funds in account but get the following message......
This credit card has been refused by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was refused, please contact your credit card issuer's Customer Service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card.

Cant work out why, have logged into hsbc and all looks fine from there, have sent them a message but has this happened to anyone else??

Ring the card issuer. The cards probably had a marker put on by the fraud dept. Had that myself with my Egg card AND my maestro card after using it with paypal.....

Agreed, Unusual account activity or foreign transactions can sometimes trigger a fraud block on the card which would not allow you to use it. Best give the bank a wee ring (if this is the case they should take it off rather easy after asking you a few security questions)
