    HTC Desire - O2/Orange

    Hi all,

I know there are threads for this, but i have checked. I also know that it is customer specific. But i need to know what im looking at paying to upgrade my current contract with O2. Im in my final month, and currently paying £35 a month. would use 300mins, 500 texts or so, and NEED unlimited internet.

What deals have you all got via o2 upgrades/retentions? Also will Orange(or similar) offer similar deals??

    Thanks in advance!

if you're current contract is ending you'll probably get the best kind of retention deal with o2 if you call and say you wish to end the contract, they'll probably offer you a desire at 25-30p/m

i have already called twice, one didn't offer me much, even after being put through to retentions. then the next call said that they don't have a retentions department, and haven't for a month! Infuriating company...

    I just upgraded with orange
got a free HTC desire 200 mins unlimited texts and unlimited broadband for £15 pm
can't get better than that as a new customer o2 should do something to keep you surely. Mind you they didn't do much for me years ago hence left for orange!

I was with O2 on a £25pm/18months contract 400 mins 1000texts. I ended up going for an Orange via Phones4U and got a free HTC Desire on a Dolphin 30 value contract for 18 months (300mins/unlt texts/500Mb) for £25pm. O2 couldn't come anywhere NEAR that and 500Mb suits me just fine.
    Just found this

thanks for that, saw it for £27 on there 18 month, 500 mins, 3000 texts unlimited internet......hows the branding on it on Orange? I know they are usually pretty bad!

Not intrusive at all compared with previous phones.
Minor apps installed, plus the usual orange logo on the back. Oh and on bootup too. easy to remove all trace of orange on the app front, though the Orange wednesays and my account apps are useful,.
