Probably a dumb question but I'm thinking of getting an HTC Desire on orange. I notice Orange have their own Sat Nav system which you have to pay for. I also understand that you can use google maps for Sat nav on android phones - is that right? Anyway my question is; if I get the Desire on orange do they disable the google sat nav to force people to use theirs?

Thanks

No I use google maps all the time and deleted the link to orange maps straight away.

use google nav free dont bother with orange bloatware

As stated above, the Orange s/w is bad. Use Google or if you don't want to be using data all the time get Copilot (but its not free).

how can you delete the link? my phone is full of bloatware i cant remove..

Thanks for the help. Is there any reason not to go with orange?

Hi, I have a Desire and you can use Google Maps on it, the Orange Maps is cheaper though as I get it free as part of my package and it includes all data.
