I want to get this phone for my sons xmas pressie, hopefully tommorow, however, Is it true Google have announced they will no longer allow new versions of the Android OS to be installed on the phone in the future and also Apps such as YouTube and Google Maps will become unavailable.

That would be a deal breaker if it no good for Google.

No, that only applies to phones yet to be released by Huawei. Current phones are unaffected.

In fact, I'm looking to buy a P30 Lite for my dad. For £220 it's a lot of phone for the price. And 128GB storage!
John lewis has it for £229.00, safe place to buy, for returns etc.
I'm using one right now. Love it!
