Hull City relieve Phil Brown of managerial duties

Hull have placed Phil Brown on Gardening leave leaving Brian Horton and Steve Parkin as caretaker managers until further notice.

Phil Brown - Liverpool?? We need someone new anyway, well we would if we could afford the £16M to get rid of Benitez.

I'd have a go myself if i could...anything's gotta be better than Benitez at the moment. :whistling:

I don't see the point in sacking the manager 10 games before the season ends, isn't it just going to cause more disruption?

    Feel sorry for Phil

It was the beginning of the end long ago when he did that public telling off in the centre of the football pitch!

Lost team support after that and they never recovered.

    Gardening leave???

Because the one thing Phil Brown needs, is more time spent in the sun.

They stayed up by one point and only because Middlesborough and Newcastle were absolutely dire by the end of the season.

Plus remember that brilliant start they had? All went to pot after that public humilation by their manager.

If he can hang on until the end of the season, there'll be a vacancy at Citeh when Mancini gets sacked for finishing 6th.

I wonder if Hull will appoint a Championship manger like Burnley. Big mistake.

Correction: Burnley appointed a FAILED Championship manager.

    so far we have :
    Gary Megson
    Keegan
    Peter Reid

Lol yes what great news. That tango'd mess will hopefully never return, fungal infection that he is. All the better that we are the ones that got him sacked, poetic justice.
