I'd like to know this too as I'm about to buy an i20. Our current Hyundai (getz) came with 3 years free servicing as well as the 5-yr warranty. Pity they don't do that any longer :-(

It's worth giving your local dealership a call to find out the standard cost for servicing. They should be able to let you know an exact cost for each minor/major service.

The second service on my Santa Fe was over £300 for a standard 2nd Service with no additional work needed! I'm sure you'll be looking at a service cost of somewhere around the £170 mark but could be off the mark!

thanks guys just dont want ripped off this is my 1st brand new car and dont know what they are like when it comes to 5 year warranty etc

if it does need parts apart from brakes and tyres are these done free under warranty? reason im asking is the fanbelt is screeching and everyone stares when i pass lol surely this shouldnt happen with a car just coming up for 1 year old? will ths be fixed for free as part of warranty?

I'd have thought a fan belt would last a good few years unless your doing some serious mileage. That should be covered under warranty as I'm sure the majority of parts that are less than a year old and not covered by the manufacturers warranty will still have cover for at least a year!

I have found my local dealership to be quite good. There have been a couple of things I've got them to check and change under the warranty including a couple of rusty screws and a plastic cover for the seat runner amongst them. If your service is soon then I'd hold out and get them to check any the noise coming from under your bonnet, it may be a case of something needing to be tightened! Make a list of things before your car goes in of 'any' faults and let them know, if it is something that is going to be additional to your regular service for which you are to be charged, then they would need to contact you first for permission to carry out such work otherwise if it is under warranty they will go ahead with it.

You'll be surprised how good the Hyundai warranty is, so long as you stick to their service schedule.
