to be hoest...go into house of fraser and throw a big fit! practice the anger.

usually theyll give you a new one but only if you come across as anglee

and if they accuse you of washing it wrong

you can accuse them of making out you are thick and you can then requesta a manager :-D

or the managers manager :-D

would they even entertain me without the receipt?

The quality of Superdry clothing is appalling to be honest - especially their zips - this doesn't surprise me.

Go to a Superdry store and tell them you bought it there - I did that with their Brad Leather Jacket and got a credit note (didn't have a receipt). Only problem with that is you will have to buy more of their crap clothes.

Some years ago whilst working at Argos I was told by a Manager that it isn't up to the customer to prove they bought the product (hence by producing a receipt) but it was up to the shop to prove they didn't. Which would be impossible wouldn't it?
Anyway did spend many years working in retail outlets (including Aldi, Whsmith) but no one ever challenged the theory and I'm too chicken to try it myself.
Most larger companies these days will offer a credit note or replacement at the lowest price the product was sold at without a receipt, but I don't think you need to shout the odds unless the friendly approach doesn't work. personally from shop experience I would far more likely to comply with a customer request if they were polite when asking. Honesty is also the best policy when it is the actual truth. Clothing should last longer than 3 washes so take it back for a replacement or credit note!........Good Luck

I would go and give it a go if it were me - they can only say no so give it a try.

If you paid on your bank card you can take your bank statement as proof of purchase

I bought a T shirt about 6 weeks ago from Next for £18 that within 2 washes was ruined, basically looked all bubbly and worn out all over as if it was very old, I do have the receipt so shall I just go back and demand another?

I have had many t shirts over the years and none have had this problem.
