Does anyone else find they begrudge buying anything unless theres either a discount code/quidco/voucher etc?
i find it hard to buy on imulse becuse before i buy anything i have to come home and compare prices online first and then hunt for codes/discount...if i dont find any it puts me off buying. Is that just too stingy?

Yes, Like my sainsburys shop, It was my 1st groceries shop so I was determined to use a £10 off code.
Didnt find one so I didnt bother!!

Lol, I am actually doing it this very moment... Seen a beautiful jacket on ASOS, but want to wait for a 20% off code rather than use my 10% student discount... Don't think I'm going to buy it until one comes along

Thank God. I thought I was the only 1 lol. I don't see it as stingy, just loving a bargain too much. Since joining this site I can't remember not looking for a discount code or quidco/topcashback before buying something.

Same here - but it's even worse if I am expected to pay delivery charges LOL!

me, and there was a link to an article about ocd / vouchers on here a couple of days ago, retail combat or something

it was about bargain junkies, it was a touch americainized and quite a lot about groupon and coupon stacking etc, i dont like to go to too much effort im not obsessed, ie 25 vouchers at the checkout but at the same point anything over a fiver involves frugal consideration and a way of trying to aquire it by the cheapest way possible
I think i am a bargain junkie

delivery charge is my pet hate, some can do it next day for free with or without vouchers and if lucky no min spend others want to charge me upto £20 surcharge, because the M6 finishes at Carlisle

and they have not heard of M74/73, crazy thing is they use the same courrier in some cases
why not just say live in scotland or cornwall and you can go away we dont want your money , iinstead of telling us when we have registered, gone to checkout and find at end of page 45 of T&c about deliver charges

end of moan,

have a great christmas and thanks to all those who take the time to post vouchers/ discounts,

even if they never get as hot as 2p off a tin of beans at tesco!X)

My biggest hate is paying for postage aswell. I also refuse to pay the full price unless im absolutely forced to. I always come on here to look at how much things are or once was. If I feel im being ripped off by the price it is now, I wont buy it. Amazon are the worst for this.

Ive done this with a coat for xmas for OH. Price has gone up cause its christmas and I told OH i wont buy it now cause im being ripped off. Ive saved the cash I am willing to pay for it, and i will order it once it hits my price hehe.

Bargain Junkies - that was it! I grabbed a sale drill out of my husbands hand at B & Q the other day and put it back at £99, he sulked but I bought it for £76 the next day, internet voucher! Happy husband. I did £20 of coupons at the checkout at Tesco last month, but some of them were luncheon vouchers from Pineco. Do the people behind scowl because I'm holding them up, or because they aren't getting the discount that I am?

I can't buy things either without checking poundland, 99p shop or home bargains first to see who hqas the items I want and is the cheapest!!! It is this site that has got me to this!

it was getting an induction hob via an mse deal that got me addicted. Before that I was just a bargain hunter with thrifty tendencies

im also quite frustrated by the fact the post has gone down and i wont get anything i want before christmas...leaving me at the mercy of the high stree stores to buy my last few things...they are gonna have to prize my money out of my hands, my little iphone is gonna be abused tommorrow

While some times it's great to get a bargain using a voucher/cashback I tend to only buy things I really like and so I don't spend lots on things that I buy just because it's a bargain.

For that reason I don't mind paying full price for things in case they are not available when I come across a voucher or they go on sale.

If i have the time and the process of obtaining a discount is relatively straight forward I'll do it. Otherwise it's not worth my time/effort.

I hate paying full price in shops! I always have to come home first to see if i can find it cheaper.I annoy a lot of my friends cos when they show me what they've had i ALWAYS say 'oh no you could of got that for less online'!!! x Your not alone x

Infact i've just read this thread out to my partner. He laughed and said thats me all over! x
