I Dont Want To Sound Awful or Rude But...

I know it annoys me because I'm slightly O.C.D. But...

A LOT is 2 separate words AND

TOO is the spelling for when you mean also...

Sorry but it does annoy me and I do want to preserve the English language lol.

Yeah you're right but lone parent so don't much (aww shame lol) and I'm a teacher I suppose which doesn't help lol I did make it light hearted.:whistling:

there are alot of people that dont know that, they all seem to use this website two.

alot of the time you will have to ignore it, I try too ignore it but some times it bothers mee two.

Some people use a whole host of grammatically incorrect colloquialism, in fact (note this is also two separate words!) many are based on region dialects.

If I said to you, where are you going to? Some could grammatically argue that this should be simply where are you going!! :geek:

A colloquialism is something entirely different and so are dialects;-)

I'm a stickler for correct spelling, but you shouldn't discourage people with poor language and literacy skills from writing or typing even it is incorrect. As a teacher you should know that!!

It 's ironic your thread is about grammer and spelling

I am with you OP though on some spelling issues

i think any short variant of a word like text speak is ok, but simple things like lose and loose is just wtf, if you say it out loud you would realise you sound like a gimp.

It's funny how only 9 people in this thread have used full stops at the end of their sentences.

    Make that 10.
