I feel sooo Bad, my poor rabbit

Ok as some of you know we have a pet bunny, and we don't tend to keep him in hutch, unless really heavy rain or only for overnight.
Anyway I do regularly check on him,and I usually just call and he comes over or stands up on back legs to see who's wanting him.
Not long ago,I checked on him and he was fine,I come back in,checked and shut the back door and I guess he must darted to the door way as as I shut it,he was the other side, like my door opens inwards and I was shutting outwards so it just caught him and I heard him make a squeaking noise. I no idea if I caught his paw or maybe even a long floppy ear.
I feel so bad,I went back out with to check him and sat in shade, looks ok,I think.
I come back in and got him a Cadbury's finger biscuit cos its 1 of his faves, and called him and he wouldn't come over.
I think he is annoyed with me,sorry bunny.
    I feel sooo bad.

    Oh poor thing!

If you feel bad for the bunny, why are you on here and not outside with it, apologizing?

Abstract as ever, but also complete nonsense?

You can't feel bad if you're dead...

I'm sure bugs will forgive you eventually.

I hope hes OK love is love and when someone or animal hurts that we love we hurt:)

If he's a clever bunny he'll be able to milk a carrot or two out of this.

I think he is,but I called up my partner and told him what I did,he says they sometimes hide their injuries like a wild instinct cos it makes them look weak if they are.

Chocolate is bad for any animal.

    It slowly poisons them.

    (Unless it's animal chocolate)

Is it moving around ok? you will need to keep a close eye on it. might need a costly to the vets

Rabbit stew,Yummy you could use his carrots too..lol

This is not as bad as what happened to us last year, My other half has a moped for cruising around work (a chicken chaser albeit a sporty one lol!) well he was pushing his bike of the drive, and on the way dropped some veggies into the rabbit hutch. He was changing the water etc and gererally getting ready to work nights...to cut a long story short, one of the guinea pigs must of heard him rustling the feed bowl and was en route to his hutch when he stopped under the bike until my fella moved away from the door. We didn't know, it was dark and yep you guessed it, he carried on pushing the bike..... i will never forget the sound or the sight, i was heavily pregnant and can honestly say distraught

Correct. It is NOTHING like animal chocolate as it contains theobromine a chemical which there is no antidote against. This has not been googled, i spent 7 years studying !!

We usually pretty careful,I even shout to the children to check, but he must really darted on the doorway bit pretty swift.

hope he's ok & that he forgives you soon

    I hope so.

In all honesty its not a treat, its a killer. Harsh but very true! I allow my dogs most things, but i would NEVER give them chocolate or pork products....both are deadly.

    What's wrong with pork?

Surely if we're mammals as well, chocolate and pork must be bad for us too?

Pork can contain a worm larvae called trichisummit (i cant remember its been a while!) Which is particulary difficult to kill when cooking. If the meat is slightly undone etc etc its harmful to the dog. I dont chance it, plain and simple.

i knew about chocolate being poisonous for dogs, but didn't know about pork! my hubby always gives the dogs sausages and pork off the bbq. As they say you learn something new every day & won't let them have it again

well the pork products that my dogs have probably have been ok as we tend to over cook (charcoal black) sausages & pork on the bbq

I say him,we were told on factsheet it probably a girl, but I think it's boy I get the feeling he is,we don't really know for certain. I don't know how to tell the sex but I've seen him playing with a ball certain way amongst other reasons why I think might be boy.
