Hi

I need some advise one how to set up the TV tech at home.

I have A TV (Not smart!) and fibre broadband.
There is no aerial or satellite dish and no TV Licence.

I'm not too clued up on smart boxes, now TV, Kodi etc. What would be these best, most cost effective option to go for?

In my previous house I had a freesat recorder which was sufficient for me as I hardly have time to watch telly and recorded programmes were brilliant.

Thanks!

Just download for via Torrents, and then link the PC to the TV vis HDMI

You want a box or stick with the catch-up apps. BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All4, Demand5 and UKTV Play. They won't give you all of the freesat/freeview channels and often doesn't cover everything that's broadcast (films for example) but they'll give you most things.

A TV Licence is needed to watch the real time broadcasts and anything on BBC iPlayer.

I'm not sure what the popular hardware is these days, but there's lots of different options
