It is sweet and fitting to die for one's country.

    AND I LUB YOU TOO

Livin la vida loca...I think it's Latin, after all they did call Ricky Martin the Latin Lathario before he came out and declared he was a proud gay man (even though he was not proud enough to admit it when he was famous...)

    my old regiments motto -

    Certa Cito

thanks will have a look :-D

many of these translations are wrong (only slightly in some cases)
latin isnt as easy as using google to find a translation website

Quis abyssus es vos vultus procul? (what the hell are you looking at?)

Operor vos amo quis vos animadverto? (do you like what you see?)

This is right, I think you would definitely be best to go from "ready done" quotes as Latin grammar has its own patterns which translation engines do not often get right. Also you need to be a bit careful as, for example

alis volat propris -- she flies with her own wings

which is a good one, actually means he/she/it flies with their own wings, so just watch out because verbs in Latin don't really specify male or female.

Plus, you should bear in mind where the quote comes from. For example, I saw a Valentine's card once which had "Nunc scio quid sit amor" (Now I know what love is) on the front. I thought that was quite nice, but it's actually from a poem where the rejected lover throws themselves off a cliff and this is what they say directly before killing themselves after having their heart broken. So, I just mean, you've got to be a bit careful if taking a phrase out of context, especially if it's permanent!
