Yesterday I got a letter from 'International Lotto Commision' - the usual spam saying I'd won money in the Spanish Lottery.

I'm lucky I know it's a scam - but worried about the people who may think this is genuine.

The weird thing is it was in my maiden name - which I've never used at this address (expect for a Prudential Pension). Where do you reckon they get peoples details from???

Is there anything I can do to report this?

Was just about to say when's the party I'm assuming they buy various address lists. It's possible Prudential sold it and somewhere far in some agreement somewhere along the line you signed that off. I'd ring them and complain though if you can actually isolate it down to them.

i got this letter to, but my one looked very genuine, had a site and everything, i had my own personla bar code. they asked me to just fill in the form and one question was how would you like to get your money, bank transfer, cheque, or pick up. i ticked cheque, i sent the form back by fax, then they asked for proof of id i faxed a copy of my driving licence. waited 2 days no repsonse, i rang them and spoke to someone called luis tomez but the person didnt sound spanish he sounded african. i went along with wht they said, theni got a phone call from the guy luis tomez saying my cheque is ready to be posted, he asked me to pay him to ensure the cheque as it is a big amount. then i knew this is a scam, when i told him take it out of the winning money he refused and that was the last time i ever spoke to him or got anything in the post.
i will never forget that till this day makes me laugh what a experiance, what dreams i had lol. bloody *******s
