id like to send some currency via post

So my parents have indian currencies around 32k rupees which includes 500 rupees notes and thousand rupees note and they are currently banned in india also there is a deadline to deposit in the bank if you don't then money will not be legal tender.
We have Indian bank in here but they said no so my dads decided to post it to his friends house in order to deposit.

Can anyone tell me what is the best postal service to use and will it caught my customs? w4s.in/500…ed/

Why don't they just deposit the funds in their account in India?

can't you convert it to sterling in the UK, put it in your bank then do a bank transfer?
