Ideal Rachet Set For General Work To My Car?

I plan to do a few easy jobs to my car when required to such as cleaning the throttle body, carb, possibly change brake pads etc.

I've not got a rachet/socket set and I've noticed you need different sizes for different screws/bolts.

I've recently purchased various torx drill parts but find it hard to remove a few screws so looking for a socket set which would be able to attach to my drill bits to make it easier to remove screws/bolts at eash with a rachet.

Can anyone recommend a cheap, reliable and ideal rachet/socket set?

Got a Corsa if that helps.

    Thanks.

go to your local machine mart, buy a cheap one for just occasional use they will be fine. It doesnt have to be extensive as most cars these days can be worked on with about 6 metric sockets..

This should do the trick buddy,it has screwdriver bits and an adapter included.Only £9.99, 50 piece set and it has good reviews.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

Looks quite good, I'm not very mechanical but learnt to do the basics, now just need the right tools, had a hard time removing a few bolts before so that set looks quite good.

    Thanks.

Get yourself a set of Axle Stands too for £1.71 :

Rep added, phoned my local but they don't stock them, is it better to buy two (for each side) or one accompanied with the axle stands for extra protection?
