Ideas for a 2 night break? Oct 3rd-5th

Looking to take my partner on a 2 night break for her birthday in October.

She's only managed to get Oct 3rd-5th off work and money is pretty tight as we've just bought a property. However we've both been going through quite a lot of stress through work and want to take her away from it all for a couple of days.

Suggestions for cheap yet enjoyable break?

    What's the budget?
Might be able to pickup a cheap spa break as it's mid week and out of season.
Depending on where your based could do a city, countryside or coast break, like I said it's out of season and mid week so should be cheap.

if money is a bit tight have a look at groupon etc

Have a look at holiday pirates.
Thomson / Thomas Cook late deals.
Also if you are prepared to make your own arrangements then suggest looking for a cheap flight use skyscanner with option of Everwhere and pick a destination. Currently from London there are cheap flights to Sweden and Poland.
Once flights are sorted get accommodation using Trivago .

This will work out to be a very cheap option.

Just done a quick seach and found Venice going out on your chosen dates for £35 return per person from Stanstead via Ryan Air. Just an option to consider...
    Hope this helps.

OP it's my wife's birthday in October so I'm in the same boat as you! I guess I should really book something soon (_;)

As stated in my post above use Skyscanner with option of Everwhere and whole month of October . Most of the cheapest flights are around London. Please note not all options on skyscanner are available on their App so best to use the desktop version.

Thanks! I'll take a look a little later today.

How about a trip to the Peak district, you can do a walk (doesn't need to be hiking). Somewhere like Buxton is a nice town or if you want a bit more life Matlock Bath.

Have a look on Groupon and see if there's anything in the getaways section. You should be able to get a couple of nights away for your budget.
