Evening all.

My Mum in Law i planning a party to celebrate her marriage to her Cuban husband. It's kind of a surprise so we can't ask him for ideas LOL!
She is probably going to hire a Cuban singer but I have been helping look for some ideas for decorations or any other ideas that would be suitable.

So any of you creative bunch got any brain waves? Will leave rep

It all depends on whether you like him or not. According to the Human Rights Watch, "Cubans are systematically denied basic rights to free expression, association, assembly, privacy, movement, and due process of law"

So if you don't like him, then you could hold the party in a small, bland room with no windows. There will be no decorations and music is out of the question. The chairs will be uncomfortable and the party-goers will not be allowed to talk, make eye-contact, move without permission (usually denied), leave early or enjoy themselves in anyway whatsoever. If they need to use the toilet, then they will have to do it in a bucket in the corner of the room, however they must be accompanied by at least one other person (whom they do not know). The dress code should also be nothing but grey.

But if you do like him, KatieM's link could be a decent place to start.
