    Ideas for cable tidys?

I know pound shops sell those twisty cable things but not sure if thats the best.

What I want is something along the line of like a plastic tube/piping that the cables can go through.

    Any ideas?

    Hi ryouga

You could get some ]cable trunking, handy if you need to run cables along the skirting as they usually have adhesive strips, They're a bit more expensive than the pound shops though but they'll keep your cabels tidy!

Looks good but quite expensive and wI dont know if I ever need to move them.

It looks like the easiest way is to use some cardboard and shape it but dont know hot to attach it to the wall

Yeah that site is a bit expensive I was just showing as an example, I think you could probably get it a bit cheaper in B&Q, Maplin, Argos et al.

Might help if you spell out what you are trying to do.

Just want to tidy my cables since I have loads of them at the minute, the pc cable, pc speaker power cables, xbox cable, tv cable and seperately the pc speaker cables that go into the sub.

Just want to have like 1 big cable as such so there isnt untidy cables everywhere as In am a bit OCD with tidyness lol

Where does the "attach it to the wall" bit come in.

As in I dont just want to shove a bit of card to the wall and hold it on with pins. I want to bend it so the card is stuck to the wall but has a gap that the cables go through.

Theres 2 possible ways to do this, one is like a V shape so you cannot see the cables just the cardboard, other is like a square U shape.

how about one of them bendy kids toys - like a concertina"d piece of pipe that you whizz around in the air -it then makes a noise .... hard to explain : )

I bought some a few months ago that i thought were a brilliant idea, they are just velcro strips, in different colours, just wrap them round.

Seen some in Poundland the other day.

Bury the cables under the carpet/flooring and cut large holes and pop them through

    or

    wallpaper over them ;-)

I`ve sellotaped mine together, looks like one cable:oops: Must cover that up one of these days:roll:

Lol anyway another related question, I have some surge protector sockets 4 way one, not an extension one though its like the normal plug and 4 below it but my sockets are far too low down on the wall to attach them.

Any ideas? at most I was thinking of someway of a passthrough but that may be flimsy or a single socket extension.
