Hire Purchase,i guess it's an old fashioned word now, sorry chesso lol

It's probably as they say though, because you didn't opt for their credit terms and paid it in one payment.

well it turns out that the term "Credit Rejected" means "further verifications" according to a supervisor at Very.co.uk. I assumed it mean't "payment rejected" so put another order through... and low and behold at 11pm when I checked my bank account I had £400 taking from my account (£200 x 2) I explained to her that the term "Credit Rejected" was very misleading and did not even represent further checks...

She said the words "Credit Rejected" is a trademark to Littlewoods affilates therefore it can mean what they want it to mean!

The checks were because I was a new customer and to prevent fraud apparently, despite the fact that I already completed my own banks verification links during purchase.

    I'm fuming.

I've never had call to spell it before,i never realised it was spelt HIRE,learn something new each day

The mind boggles! How tedious all the hassle associated with it. I still think it means that you opted to pay up front rather than have the credit purchase!

Higher purchase was it Debz - hehe! Should be really as it is rip off purchase!

    Are you back CW?

That's exactly it. Daft term they use mind.

When you had an account, did you ever 'slightly overuse' the vouchers that are posted on the likes of here (£30 off £60 spend, etc)
I did this and now they don't let me order using my credit accounts or even my own bank card - it says 'credit rejected' even when I put my card details in

    Please explain.
I ordered something from littlewoods and it said Credit Rejected.
So am i getting the thing that i ordered or not?
    REALLY NEED TO KNOW ASAP.
    thanks.

I found out it was normal practice for first orders. once you phone them they will allow the order to go through.
