You would have to buy a cheap monitor as well but if your on a tight budget PC world have a dual core acer refurb in stock for £99.99

Do you want a desktop, laptop, all in one, or touchscreen? If it's a desktop do you need a monitor, keyboard, mouse or any other peripheral with it?

What sort of uni work do you need it for? Obviously if you're studying English your requirements are not going to include much demand on the stuff inside the case but a high quality monitor and keyboard will be essential. On the other hand if you need to run autocad, photoshop or do lots of image processing for geography then a good CPU will be essential and you probably won't be spending much on the keyboard.
