I'm considering buying a Vitamix but I'm confused by the pricing.

The basic unit comes in at an eye watering £400 with the most expensive more than £1,500! As far as I can tell there's not that much difference between the two so I'm clearly missing something.
Does anyone have one and can recommend ?

I'm buying it so I don't have to buy a blender or food processor, slow cooker etc, get rid of my juicer ( which I only use to make cider ) and so I can make quick and easy healthy food.

Cheaper vitamins from Holland & Barrett

Vitamins are expensive urine, as even the most basic western diet has more vitamins that you require, this includes someone who lives on ready meals. They can even be dangerous if doeses are not monitored, only take vitamins if advice by real doctor.

have you looked at getting a thermomix? my sil swears by it but I have no experience myself. They too were looking at the vitamix but bought the thermomix in the end.

overkill for average family , try Magimix if you want to spend over £100.

The main differences with the Vitamix will be the power of the motor (1200W/1380W) and any accessories you get with it as well as the number of pre-programmed functions. Vitamix have a 7 year warranty.

You should also look at the Blendtec (which was the original and which Vitamix copied and had to pay heft compensation to Blendtec for infringing their patents). The cheapest Blendtec (1560W) can be found for around £299 incl. a number of accessories such as an additional Wildside jug. Blendtec have an 8 year warranty.

The next level down, the Magimix Le Blender (1200W) is also very good and receives an average 5/5 in reviews across multiple websites like Amazon and John Lewis. Magimix have a 3 year warranty.
