I'm looking for a router.

I'm on VM and my home computer is wired. Now my brother is wanting to get his laptop online when he's at mine so I'm looking for a router that he can connect wirelessly to and I can still keep my home pc wired, or a router with usb dongle to make my home pc wireless.

Any suggestions?

My current PC has a Router connected to that so the laptop can be wireless, but the pc is on a wired connection. I have had a few routers and believe Netgear are the best. You can find one that is on sale at Pcworld for £49.99 ]Here

Please offer to start a thread in the FS forum rather then post an item sale here, as it's against site rules. Thanks.

I got a tp-link one last week from svp for £15. Wireless and wired and worked a treat. I just checked and they all sold out now though

Ebuyer.com can be good for price and Netgear are excellent

Most wireless routers have ethernet ports too so you should be able to stay wired.

I was impressed with the d-link router I had once it had been set up. It was well built, reliable and had a nice interface. Setting it up was a bit of a pain though, but it might be easier if you're just looking to use the normal settings.

I've now got a netgear 834 that looks much like the one linked in the first reply, although it 'only' supports 54mbps. Impressions? Mostly that it just does it's job. The biggest downside is the looks, it's clear plastic and leaky LED lights are a bit of an eyesore and it looks too small in proportion to the cables coming out of it. The interface does have a couple of nice features though.
