Are Import Taxes and VAT payable if goods are ordered from European Warehouses?

Gearbest give you the option to buy from Chinese warehouse or Spain (Or Poland or Germany) warehouses. The chinese tend to be a little cheaper but the euros are a little dearer.
If I order from one of the Euro warehouses thru Gearbest, will I have to pay additional fees upon arrival of the item (Import duty or VAT etc)

I believe the answer is no because we are still in the EU, will change once we leave at the end of the year.
No import duties or VAT is due if received from within the EU.

Transition arrangements in place until Dec 31 mean the old rules still apply.
