What is it you want to do? Who you with (young, old, male, female)?

Castle keep, Angel of the North, MetroCentre, Beamish Museum, The Gate, Centre for Life. There's loads to do but depends what you're in to really.

St James Park 3pm Toon v Spurs

look at the motorbikes near china town, a full street of shops! lol

Metro centre!

another vote for Metro Centre from me!

GET BLADDERED MAN

a few things to do in newcastle,
walk around drinking brown ale, saying waiyai man, and campaigning to get the current football manager sacked.

Should point out that the Metro Centre is Gateshead not Newcastle as is the Angel of the North but it's all so close together and easy to get to so it's not a problem.

For things a little less touristy you could try Coffee Trader off Northumberland Street for what's IMO the nicest white chocolate mocha on earth. There's also Britain's oldest dining room. It's a restaurant with a very ye olde feel to it from the building to the food called Blackfriars (blackfriarsrestaurant.co.uk/).

A little further out but great to spend a day in is Beamish museum which is an open air museum where everything is like it was in Victorian/Edwardian times(beamish.org.uk/)

Metro Centre is Europe's largest shopping and leisure centre and has an IMAX cinema in it.

There's plenty to do around so hope this helps.

Edit: Also have to mention the best pizzas I've found at a restaurant called Portofino (portofinonewcastle.co.cc/)

I'm telling you, Tyneside tourist people should hire me!

It doesn't but he may be. I mean if he's an old biddy or a doris like yourself he may enjoy looking round the metrocentre.

If I wasn't from Newcastle and I was visiting I would go to Jesmond on the lash

Again depending on your age and what you want to do you could give tynemouth and the coast a visit. Get the metro to the station and on saturday you have a market on the station platform. Then have a stroll through tynemouth itself where you have and abundance of pubs and cafe to visit for lunch, lots of nice little shops and the priory ruins and the pier for a bracing walk. There;s also the bluereef aquarium a little further along the coast about 15 minute walk.

Is Wok This Way still in the city centre?

Thanks

Have a walk down Dean street onto the Quayside. Loads of bars/cafes/restaurants You could head over the Millennium bridge and have a look around the Baltic. Even if its not your thing its free entry and the viewing platform is a must.

find the A1 and drive out of there as quickly as possible. Alternatively get to Newcastle central station and get the first train out of there!
