In Titanic why didnt she just share the floating door?

I just dont understand the selfishness

You dont expect someone from "first class" to share a door with someone from "steerage".

First class passengers expect to have some benefits for paying all that money.

I ask myself that same question everyday.

Then says, I'll never let you go, as she lets him go.

Just a selfish liar really. Jack could've done better.

May be if both shared it, the door can't take the weight?

my theory was, if they took turns, they would have periods in the warm (ish) then periods in the cold. and they could of pulled through. i watched the film yesterday, and i came to a conclusion rose is a two faced liar

Supposedly the ship took hours to sink.

Why not lash together a handy raft out of doors and tables?

If they had shared the door then i wouldn't have been able to weep buckets at the end!:oops:

I thought she did but he slipped off it :?

because in that day and age, women where the priority, he did the manly thing, had it happened now rose would have been held under whilst he climbed on the door

what else made me angry is the fact it took about 293 houres to sink and every body was just screaming and playing violins. i could easily get many doors and make many a raft in that time

from the time they realised it was going to sink until it went beneath the waves was only about 90 minutes

    first lifeboat lauched 00:40.

    finally sank at 02:20

    carpathia arrived at 04:10

if onkly the radio operator of The californina had managed to stay awake (only 10 miles away)!

watched this again the other day. brilliant film and accurate unlike the cameron version

She didn't really need a door. With her big @rse, she could have stayed afloat by herself and given the door to Jack.

it made me laugh too when she said ill never let you go then you here the frost break around his hand as she gets him off the float and he sinks

i cant understand why soooo many people cried at that film, dont get me wrong i cry at everything thats sad in any film but that was just pants

I think she was struggling to hold on because her hands were freezing as well but I remember watching the film in media studies during my GCSE's and while all the girls were crying at Jack dying, I was saying something like "what a selfish b****, she didn't have to push him off to save her own fat ass" lol

I can't remember it properly but it was at least 10 years ago but I admit, it was an entertaining film and quite sad at the end....but I wouldn't of admitted that back then, as I had a hard image to withhold.

    This thread made me chuckle.....

Rose was a cow wasn't she!!..

I hated the moment when she threw the diamond into the water at the end....

Wasn't it worth millions???? What a bitch....

(If only I had the GPS location)....

Am I the only one who cried at this film, oh and my sister we saw it 3 … Am I the only one who cried at this film, oh and my sister we saw it 3 times at the pictures:oops:

Nah, a whole class of girls in my media studies lesson cried there eyes out, I think a lot more people around the world cried too...even some guys, if they let there guard down. :-D

Loads of stuff about Titanic on the National archives site
    nationalarchives.gov.uk/cat…j=1

The radio operator of the Californian had sent a message to Titanic warning of ice
"we are stopped and surrounded by ice".............the radio operator on the Titanic responded with "Shup up. I am busy. I am working on the Cape Race".........

More to the point - why did those musicians stop before the ship sunk? Pay deductions required I'd say.

yeah I saw that but then the californian operator went to sleep so didnt hear the distress calls.

the people on deck saw the flares going off but thought they were just fireworks :w00t:

and why didn't the double bass player chin the violinist, nick his violin and use his bass as a raft and the violin for a paddle?

I feel sorry for Billy Zane in the film, she first cheated on him and if that wasn't enough. she also stole the nicklace from him, and kept it away from her family!, when they could have had a good life if they were allowed to flog it on ebay

the lying two faced vegetrian bitch

Why didn't she share the floating door? Well, it's because the whole thing was a government set up you see, as the titanic was built to be unsinkable, yet it sunk..... The only reason that other ship was anywhere near by was because they'd been towing the iceberg and put it in the path of the Titanic, and the captain of that ship wasn't really asleep, he had one eye shut and the other eye on the little monitor where he was watching the events unfold. Rose was in on it, that's why she got the floating door. Getting her leg over was just an unexpected perk of the mission.

Oh hang on, I'm in the wrong thread for conspiracies aren't I......:whistling:

Good point. With all the wooden decks around... how many boats could they have knocked up before it sunk?

Such a weak story that you can pull to pieces so easily!

At least he went down stiff

I think she was in a bad mood because they just had a hump and Jack turned over and went to sleep..........whilst she wanted to look dreamily at the stars.

Can't blame Jack for wanting out - look how old she looked at the end for the film :whistling:

The film was actually comical in places. The bit where the ship was vertical and the guy dropped from the highest railing hitting the propeller and went into some ridiculously fast spin.

It wasn't the Titanic that sank, it was actually the Olympic. If you have a few minutes to spare read all the damning evidence...... titanicconspiracy.com/abo…tml

And as for Rose, like all toffee nosed rich bitches she stamped down the little guy to save her skin!

I remember watching something about that, in the end they deemed it false and it was the Titanic that went down based on what they recovered.

It was definitely Titanic. I remember seeing it on a double episode of time tunnel. (I think it was the one before they ended up on a ship near Krakatoa.)
