ING Direct and security team

    Trying to access my ING Direct savings account (ex Kaupthing Edge), now they did send me a pin letter a couple of years back but the reveal didn't go to plan and therefore I needed a PIN to sign into my account for the first time.

    So I rang them up this afternoon, they took some details and said after a couple of questions from their security team they would send a new PIN to my registered address. No problems there.

    The security team then managed to ask me all manner of weird and wonderful questions, only to tell me at the end I had failed the checks!!! Said they would be doing further investigations and getting back in touch via my landline tomorrow (Great, I'll be at work!)

    Anyone been in this situation? I need to access my savings quite soon and this really isn't helping matters! Surely sending a temporary PIN code to my registered address which I confirmed twice is secure!!!

    I too failed a security check...totally unbending attitude. In the end I had to send them by post, 3 forms of id...two of which had to be photographic....photocopies of passport, utility bills etc. Took about 10days to get it sorted
