installing software onto a netbook? please help

hi all whats the easiest way of installing software from a cd onto a netbook? do u need an external cd drive or can u connect a laptop to a netbook with an usb lead and use the laptop cd drive to install software onto the netbook or is there a better way???

You should get whatever your installing online but if you cant you could get sombody to put the files on a USB stick and then transfer the files over or you could just buy an external hard drive

Put the CD into your laptop and copy the files onto a usb stick, then use the usb stick for the install.

If you have an old/spare external drive - the easy way is to just use the external drive with a usb cable (got mine off Ebuyer). Alternatively use the USB stick method but I've seen reports of people having problems installing software from USB sticks.....

It should be no different to using an external hard drive, both are used … It should be no different to using an external hard drive, both are used by the PC in the same way.



Assuming the disk has no copy protection of course.
