yeah cheers for that gari! can you imagine if a woman suggested that! (assuming youre a bloke of course!)

its very easy. just yank the hoses off, or use hose clip pliers to loosen off the clips and hoses, coolant will run everywhere so buy some before you start, youll need to wriggle your hand in behind the bulk head and pull the other two off.

its a very fiddly job but one you can do yourself, the HCV is about £30 from Ford parts desk.

pm me if you need anything else

thank you! - i had someone tell me that if i didnt drain it all first it would make the engine blow up (or words to that effect!!!!)

As a first car the insurance will cripple you on a van.

make sure once its on, you slacken off the radiator drain plug off while you put new coolant in, when it start to run out of the plug tighten it back up and fill the rest of the way, then run the car for 10 mins with the coolant cap off to get any air pockets out

Well it would be a second car/van.

Insurance is still crippling anyway, Looking at £1000 for whatever I insure!

The fiesta is classed as more of a car than a van, It just has the back windows replaced with panels, If they do charge more i'll just get a fiesta car version.

It's still classed as a van and you would need to pay additional VAT on it, trust me i used to work for Budget.

And to cheer you up, my car with all it's mods and the wife on it costs £263 p/a with £100 excess fully comp. :-D
