Can any recommend a board for a i5 10400 that has a hdmi 2.0a so HDR will work in windows.

I can not seem to find this info on many boards and some say a 11th Gen Intel CPU is needed :/

"4K/60Hz HDMI 2.0b (Intel Core 11th Gen only)"

I use my pc to watch 4k remuxes on my TV. my board I have now does not do HDR so looking to upgrade I much rather use Intel igpu than get a graphics card as it has better support to play UHD disc for now if I ever need to. I don't game anymore.

I prefer to use my pc in instead a Nvidia shield or firestick as I find sound quality seems much better for my 2.0 set up. And it's more useful for me than a media box.

I think it is meant to work with HDR, I would read the reviews for the different adapters on amazon.

I've ordered one from eBay, still waiting for it to be delivered.

I plan to use it to output to my TV and use the HDMI to my old av receiver to still get DTS HD master and the Dolby HD audio.

Also I'm sure I read it works with DVI but better to confirm that. (edited)

The onboard graphics support 60hz refresh rate at 4k over the display port. HDMI is only 30hz.

Ok, would a display port to HDMI adapter do the job, rather than trying to find a board with HDMI 2a/b. The adaptors carry sound to the tv to.

I honestly gave up with intel, but my onboard graphics are older and don't support HDR.

Just buy a used nVidia or AMD GPU - you'll need a lot less luck to get it working.
