I guess it all depends on perspectives!

Best might also mean most expensive!

For me, its a cross between performance, reliability, limitations and cost.
Bethere scores highly and ticks all the right boxes.

Yep BEthere aka O2 are fantastic if you can get it.

ive heard good things about "bethere"

Just to clarify - O2 and Bethere are NOT the same company.

Bethere was an established ISP with a running 24MB network. O2 bought BeThere - however, there are 2 ISPs which are run idependantly of each other.

Lol I know chill out I was talking about the network they use, as though they are seperate they use the same networking

If you are in a cabled area you should get Virgin Media.

wow didnt read the op. Bethere is supposed to be good.

how long does it take to change provider?

There is no BT Broadband option 4! Unless you have a very old package from them. If your out of contract, contact BT and see what they can offer you.
I used to work for them not so long back, if your out of contract or less than 2 months left on your contract you can get Broadband Option 3 for £19.99p/m + new router + free bt vision!
Even if your in contract they can still offer you a discount however not as much.
Signing up to any new deals come with a 12 month contract.
Takes 5 working days to migrate once you have provided your new supplier with your MAC code. BT issue MAC codes free over the phone instantly, other companies may use other methods.

Ignore the "upto" speeds & find out who does the best actual speed in your area (this site checks using your postcode broadband.org/). Then get dicount code from HUKD! and switch using yout MAC code (from current supplier). Do not cancel one contract & start another without the MAC as that will take ages. Go for the shortest contract possible then if provider does not meet your expectations just switch.

A good tip is to ring up the customer services department to see how long it takes to speak with a human (not sales department as they are very quick!).

My record is 3 weeks of daily calls for 30-40 minutes each time. Eventually spoke with someone to cancel my account (BT).

I used to be on AOL Platinum which cost me £30pm, i am now on Sky Broadband which costs only £5 and i can't find any difference, apart from the price

I wouldn't trust a speed guesser like this, as it's massivley inaccurate, I've just looked through my field log book and compared some postodes to what this claims you should get, I've tried about 15 in total, It hasn't guessed one correctly. Trouble with sites like this as it will guess on line length, it has no idea of the cable type or cable poundage in the ground, it also has no idea of the cable run from the exchange to your DP.

my personal opinion is virgin media i have speeds of up 20g but its going up 2 50 so it is very good

Eclipse are decent. Im with them.

I think Sky is pretty good - and you can get it for FREE on the right deal?

    UKFSN or any entranet reseller.

I have been with nildram in the past and they were very good with consistent spped. When I moved house I then went with eclipse and they were good for a while but then started to go down hill ny having inconsistent speed and lots of disconnections.
I'm now with bethere getting about 10mb due to the distance from the exchange, etc but can't fault the service so far.

I am with IDNet, not the cheapest, but always come top on customer satisfaction at ThinkBroadband at all levels, you really do get what you pay for .. ;-)

Hi there - I can strongly reccommend Be broadband - fantastic ISP if it covers your area. Not everyone can get it,, but it's great. Anyway, best broadband site for all the latest deals deals is Top 10 Broadband: top10-broadband.co.uk
