    Virgin cable.

I am unfortunately not in a position to recieve Virgin cable

The plugs that you plug in have to come from an internet source in your home anyway, lol.
The signal just runs through your electricity supply.

    You can't have virgin.
    You don't have a phoneline

Then your only option... a rather expensive one just for home internet is a dongle.

looks like your 'o' key is knackered lol

A 3G/3.5G USB dongle would be the obvious solution but first you need to check availability where you live. For example with the Three Network Postcode Checker.

Personally I'd by one of the Huawei 3G/3.5G USB dongles from eBay (around £10-£15) then each month buy a PrePaid 1GB/1month SIM (also from eBay around £2.80). That will give you about 30 hours web surfing per month (if you need more just buy more cards). If your usage justifies it you can also get 3GB 90 days prepay card for around £7.50.

Eventually the supplied of eBay cards will dry up in which case you can go onto a monthly rolling contract.from around £5/month.

If you want WiFi for a laptop then get a 3G router. The USB dongle plugs into the router (which is mains powered) then use an ethernet patch cable to connect the router to the PC.
