    Interviewing the interviewer

I know its very good practive to ask lots of questions in an interview.
What ones do u think are very good to ask.
Its for a sales manager role if you would like to give me specifics but general ones would be good too!

So how many interviews have you done?

How many people have been hired from your interviews?

How many people that you have interviewed stay in the company?

Are you still friend with any of them?

How do you feel by rejecting people or putting them down?

Did you know that if I don't get this job my kids will starve?

    lol I can keep going

Could you explain what you see as the potential areas of growth in the business over the medium term? And what opportunities might that offer for the position I'm applying for?

Like it like it - keep em coming peep

Make sure all your questions are open ones...

ask where the position will lead on to and where do they see your role in say 3 or 5 years time...this shows ambition and a want to commit

What do they expect of you in your day to day

Are they open to ideas from you about new avenues of sales ( i love that one)

if they ask for examples make sure you have researched the company and you have an idea of their target market

thats what i usually ask anyways....never been said no to yet

By the by this is from experience ive been in sales for 14 years and a company manager ...im living a quiet life now

if you want any ideas on target market and new sales generation let me know the company and ill have a look for you, see what i can do xx

Make sure you reaserch the company well and inject knowledge into the conversation..

    I have a good one

Do you have any training program for people to keep improving their skills?

Make sure you ask them at the interview when your salary will be up for a review if you were to get the job and your performance was above and beyond...and make sure when you get it you keep them to it ...you go girlfriend (does black girl head jiggle)

i.e. Ive been for jobs where the salary has been, say, 25,000-30,000 dependant on experience ...when i go and they ask me what i would expect i always say 28,000 or 30,000 and use experience to back it up ...if i get a 'vibe' they aren't going for it i accept 27,000 and i have an agreement at the time that after 3 months of successful service in the sales field ...i will get 30,000

Or ask them what they are looking towards paying...then ask if that will be reviewed at regular intervals ...and how regular ...you need to make sure you all know where you stand ..its better for long term job satisfaction

I interview lots of people and I have always liked this question that one young chap came up with
at the end of the interview

Is there anything that I could clarify in my answers to your questions that you may be unsure off

    Worked for me!!

I had an interview last week with three people on the board I asked them how long had they been working at the company and what do you enjoy about it?

It totally flipped the coin and they looked stunned for around 2 seconds then commented on how good a question it was!

oooh thats cool, i like that

Mind you my last job (true story) the owner actually went out got one of the workers brought her in and told her to describe how happy she was working there...i cannot describe how awkward that was...and how forced ...i started working there and a month in i realised it was all lies

Good Luck From Me By The Way Xx

Just thought I would have a look at this post as I too have an interview tomorrow and would like to know what kind of questions to ask and I thought the replies and some of the questions were absolutely brilliant!! I will certainly be using some of them tomorrow!!

    Good luck in your interview!!
