Hiya Elmwood. Try these - may point you in the right direction before you call the solicitor

copyrightservice.co.uk/pro…hts

bestforbusiness.com/Upl…pdf

Hope this helps!

Are we talking about graphics design? The design/copyright is owned by the designer, although in my case I signed away my intellectual property rights when I got my job so they're owned by the business.

Thanks for that
i've looked into it alot and done lots of reading on the subject, what i really need is to send the picture (design) to someone and get their views on it.
it is a handmade, beaded item, i made similar items (not exactly the same) but have been VeRO'ed on ebay for selling them, and i am willing to pay to fight this if theres a good chance i'll win, but seeing as design rights are such a lose term (form, texture ect) i'm find it difficult to get advice :-(

Ebay's Vero system is a nightmare. Be very careful about wasting your money and getting nowhere !

Have you tried Ebay's own forums for expert help because I know there are a few on there.
Be careful though where you post and it is extremely advisable to get a posting ID before you venture on the forums there (Especially the Q & A Forum !)

I seem to remember reading somewhere that someone had set up a help website for Ebay users with Vero problems. Have you Googled ?

If I can find out anything else I'll come back to the thread.
You might also want to contact Dinosteveus on the HUKD forums as he's pretty good on all things Ebay and will usually try and help.
Contact him via his email address as his PM box is normally full

Hope that helps and good luck, you'll need it :-(

thanks ;-)
this is the expert vero site you mentioned but it seems very american and not sure if it will help with uk design rights
www.tabberone.com

the rights owner is a she has even stoped me selling the craft items i used to use, beads ribbon ect, i have contacted ebay but they are totally incapable of using common sense.
the quads4kids v chambell case will come in handy but i really want to get an experts views on her designs

Elmwoodgirl77 it seems to be that the owner of the Tabberone site may be willing to offer some advice if you contacted her : [email protected]
Her expertise is in fabrics which appear to be not a million miles away from your problem. Although there will be obvious differences in Country law between the US and the UK, Ebay Vero "law" may not be that different and I would expect her to be able to advise on that, providing of course she is willing

If you do contact her I think you need to be able to provide full information, ebay id's, full names, auction numbers with live links and a full chronological explanation to exactly what happened.
It will also help to have any letters and emails to hand.
Keep to the facts alone with no assumptions and this will accelerate any help and advice she is able to give.

I expect you already have this info available and it is what you would have provided but it doesn't hurt to reitterate. (Don't take offence at what I have advised )

Also make sure that all your information to date is fully backed up both through your computer files and through paperwork.
Like I say Ebay Vero is a known nightmare and not to be taken on lightly.

Out of interest is the person who bought this Vero against you a business or a private seller ? You can PM me info if you don't want to put it on the forum.

Regards and again best of luck
