    Its definately not worth it.

You still have your simplicity contract to pay and no doubt dont have a warrenty for this secondhand phone, which you could find you run into problems with at some stage with it no doubt being jail broken.

£450? You're insane! Sounds like precisely the stupid kind of mistake I made when I was younger.

Lol! im confused i want it but in the other hand im thinking it will depreciate in value! and also i sold my 8gb for £460.. so LOL

All things depreciate in value so just go for it, you're paying for something so that you can stand out from the crowd for a while! It won't depreciate in value that quickly as it's still not affordable for all! If you sold your 8gb for £10 more then you have no complaints!! You've made a tenner haha.

i would hope he/she is buying it for its uses and not something as pathetic as standing out from the crowd. if the figures put on o2 site by mistake are correct then this will be £350 by the end of the year on payg with 6 months free web&wifi, you might as well take out a contract...£159 + 18 months @ £35 = £789 or £450 + £20 x 18 = £810

unlimited still has a fair usage policy im sure.. think its like 500 mb.. have to check though

cancel and have a phone you can't use? you still need to pay to use it and the simplicity £20 per month seems to fit you....you may get slightly less minutes and if you use 1000 texts per month you will develop repetitive strain! still my point is you wont have a £450 initial outlay.

    bought it! Smashing phone!:)

This people don't know what they are talking about.

This phone is not going to deprecitate in value for a while. Just look at the v1 iphone ffs

Its well worth the money, if you have it that is. Its only really for the people who can comfortably afford this. Not for people who can;t as is with most things.

I can afford one (I just bought the 16GB version on Friday.) Not impressed with it at all. Signal strength is abysmal. the missus SE580i gets 5 bars at my home location, yet this barely registers and often loses signal alltogether.

Going to take it back under the 14 day rule and get the Diamond Touch.

Can anyone tell me why I guy I was speaking to last night had a 8Gb 3G iphone he queued up for hours a few weeks ago and it only has 8Gb's?? i thought the new iphone 3G was only 16gb. Don't really care that much for the iphone but thought it rather dumb to bring out a 3G 8gb when the n95 has had 8gb for almost a year now.

Why? If its an 8GB iPhone, thats what it will be !!!!

There are 2 versions available. One with 8GB, the other with 16GB. (It adds another £100 to the cost of the phone.)

no i don't see your point, I quote post 19 in that thread
