I went with insure and go platinum cover £42 a year. It's not much use for the 32gig though as covers upto £500, but was perfect for my 16gig ip4.

Open a barclays/lloyds account especailly for it. it's £5pmish and is £25ish excess. international cover too inc waterdamage.

None of them two cover for water damage do they?

Banks also offer car breakdown cover and free european holiday insurance.

If you, or your parents, have contents home insurance, it can often be added for a few quid a month. My Ipad, dslr and other gadgets are all covered on the go for a few quid more a month.

The first one has water damage (i checked the wording specifically) AND it also has loss insurance which is pretty bloody awesome for the price!!

If you're a student and are about to open a student account, then go with Santander as they provide insurance for upto three years for mobile phones (upto value of £500). All you have to do it deposit £500 per term, so you can juggle money about from another account if you do not want it as your main account.
