    Yes cleared in safari settings and turned phone off/on.

    Just returns to recaptcha time after time (edited)

    Are you using a VPN? This happens to me from time to time when I’m either using a VPN or when I’m using my mobile data. Restarting my phone always fixes it for me

    This happened to me around 2 times. Rather than opening Safari and typing in directly, I had to go to google.co.uk first and then type in. It’s working fine now though.

    Has it been set to your safari home page somehow?

    I would master reset the phone from a back up if not

    No not using VPNIt was doing it on 4G

    I know you already tried it but reboot your phone again but this time wait a few minutes before you turn it back on. Then it should be working fine because it should reset your IP address

    I've had it before as well. Believe it's Google trying to make sure you're not spam as it's received too many requests from your devices IPs. Resolved my issue by changing the search engine to DDG.

    Have you tried clearing your history and website data in the settings.

    Weird Chrome app works ok.

    Must be a Safari / Google issue. (Can’t clear recaptcha as just reappears)

    Somebody suggested;

    Settings, Safari, Advanced, Experimental Features, and turn on HTTP/3 and this stopped the “Google detected unusual traffic” captcha for me after doing some research it appears that Google uses HTTP/3 and some carriers are not on board with this yet and so Google thinks you’re a robot.

    Not sure what it means above but trying it! (else leave Google off Safari, if re-occurs)
