Didn't see that one coming! Orange have the iphone 3G AND 3GS - o2 exclusive is gone - maybe thats why they wanted the Pre.

I'm on Vodafone on mine, and I'm happy with that. Orange would have been an OK choice though - much better signal than o2 around here.

suppose so, however surely with the merge theyre contracts are merged too.
Im not bothered for a new phone yet anyways...my next upgrades isnt till DEC 2010! Plus im not keen on it, although a great phone.

Well i was never offered the iphone and believe me i hassled the customer reps for all phones available. But then i get my Flext35 for £17.50 now and got a BB 8900 Curve included. (third 18month contract with them, also have another phone on the account which has had 2 18month contracts).

I think it was more for BIG business users.

Also, I'm sure the T-Orange tie up has something to do with it, and I'm sure the joined company will continue to offer it.

I wonder if this will means the prices of the contracts will come down at all?

When o2 announced they were going to be selling the palm pre I started to believe that the other carriers would get the iphone.

I dont think Apple would be happy with that so I doubt it, we all know how greedy apple are.

When I took my iPhone into the Regent Street Apple Store for repair, I got the destinct impression that they weren't that impressed with the O2 3G network. My phone - even since getting it changed - still fails to receive calls on 3G..... but switching off 3G it works fine.

Thing is, Ive found T-Mobile to be exactly the same - so I'm guessing the other operators all suffer with 3G issus also.
