    iPhone on Vodafone - Unlocking?

Hi, I am looking to buy an iPhone from eBay, and mostly getting good prices on the vodafone upgrades. However, I am on Tesco mobile.

Does anyone know if I can get this unlocked without much hassle? I am only looking for a completely legal way of doing this i.e. no jailbreaking, etc etc...

Jailbreaking isn't illegal. Can pay vodafone to unlock or any dodgy site that advertise unlocking.

doesnt jailbreaking void the warranty n make some apps not work???

stick to nokia if you really think jailbreaking is illegal, tut tut some people

I think vodafone ask you to top up with £20 credit on the sim then they do it for you..some people get it done for free but its worth finding out first. Also if vodafone does not unlock it only other way is to jailbreak it first then unlock in the future

Only voids warranty if you don't restore before taking it to apple. Jailbroke all bar my iphone4. Never had an issue with apps not working nor slowing any of my previous iPhones down.

Something's the jailbreaks do offer is access to illegal things such as paid apps for free etc.

O2 is good for getting them unlocked had my iPhone4 unlocked a day after release by entering there unlocking form with a family members contract details as it was over 12 months since taking it out. Not sure if voda offer same kind of service.

Yea, if it was on O2, i wouldnt have had to worry at all coz tesco uses the same network.. but the O2 ones seem to be going for a lot more than vodafone ones for some reason..
