    Iphone unlocking help!

Does anyone know how to unlock a iphone 3gs without putting the IPAD baseband on it?

I want to use it, but is locked to orange but i do not want to change the baseband as it voids the warranty,

Should had said its on 4.2.1.

Only way to unlock it is contacting orange.

No unlock for it yet will take a while pay orange £15 and they will do it.

not entirely true, you can go to your local dodgy phone dealer and ask them to do it.... its not illegal. Also, just contact oragnge and ask them too.... this gives you a price point to enable you to gauge a better/worse deal.

Why not get it jail broken.... wait is that even legal?

Orange need you to have the phone registered with them for 3 months before they will unlock it for £20.

Rupz, the local dodgy phone shop will just do the same as me, whack on the Ipad baseband which means you can unlock it.

And no, jailbreaking it isnt illegal, but to unlock this 3gs with the baseband its on, you HAVE to put the ipad baseband on. Or pay orange to unlock it, but i cant do it for 3 months.

iPhones cannot be unlocked by a dodgy dealer exept if jailbroken but can't on new firmware. When unlocked by mobile provider it unlocks through iTunes I have done it.

What do you mean? Dodgy dealers just do the same as everyone else. You can unlock the new firmware, you just have to put the ipad baseband on.
