Need a little help regarding iPods.
If I buy the iPod 5th gen I think, the one with wifi, camera and iTunes. Will I need a comp/laptop with iTunes to put music on it? Or because it has the iTunes app I can just buy music from their? Sorry to be a complete idiot but not up to date with all that jazz.
Thanks in advance!

Yeah you can buy through the device's iTunes Store but if you want to transfer existing content, you need iTunes or one of the unofficial workarounds.
Also get an app called spotify. Free streaming app

I've got a 4th gen and that confuses me. I copied CDs onto the laptop, straight into the iTunes programme. To buy everything off iTunes would cost a fortune! I buy the odd bit of music from Amazon, buy a cd and they send you the digital version. That goes onto the Amazon player you put on your computer and you can transfer that into iTunes too. That's mt limited knowledge, I'm a technophobe!
