iPod returns question

Hi, bought an iPod from Tescos and just received it today however it appears to be faulty. So was wondering to save me the hassle of sending it back to Tesco and then getting sent a new one if I could pop into an Apple store at the weekend to get it replaced directly?

I know that it comes with a years warranty with Apple, although this hasn't been activated as it won't connect to the computer, but will they want me to send it back to Tescos as it was faulty when I received it?

    Thanks for any advice,

i would personally go back to Tesco as Apple replace with refurbs from what I know of.

Cheers for the reply, will go the Tesco route in that case.
