yeah, there are several programs out there to do this. I find the easiest way is to
    1)attach your ipod
    2)access it via 'My Computer'
    3) Right click on ipod, go to Properties, then tick show hidden files
    4) explore the ipod and copy the hidden folder 'music' to your computer
    5) get itunes to search your computer for music and add to library

doh ... just about to say that (honest )

you do realise, that blanking out the name at the side was pointless as its on display in the taskbar? :-D

ps, in vista im sure you actually have to select the option to view hidden files.

under the view menu im sure.

You might need to enable "show hidden files and folders" option first. In the 'My Computer' window click 'Organize' (near top left) ---> Folder & Search options ---> Click the 'View' tab ---> find the option 'Show hidden files & folders' and check it.

Don't know if you can extract the music this way as I haven't tried. Don't think it would be this easy though, as Apple are evil

personally, i wouldnt really mind it if it didnt fecking want to sync itself with everything.

    heres a thought!!!!

lets sync my ****ing foot with your **** iTunes!!! :w00t:

my pet iTunes hate is the "millions of albums" problem. for goodness sake, let ME arrange the folders on the iPod, not you. i want to group some songs together from different albums. nope, cant do it. make a playlist.

i also hate how, if there is a slight thing different in the description it has a completely new folder :w00t:

My pet hate with iTunes, is if you get a new computer but don't actually have an ipod to transfer the music across, you lose all the songs you've downloaded. They should allow it so you can just re-download the songs you've already paid for. But like that option on there, only allow it to a certain number of computers.
