iPod Touch 3.0 Firmware update (1st Gen)

My touch connects perfectly via a Bluetooth adapter (link below) to Sonys B/T Speakers. Although the tracks can be changed no problem, it wont allow me to adjust the volume (on the Touch). In other words the volume can only be adjusted on the speakers, something I think to do with A2DP compatibility issue.

So... If I update to V 3.0 will it over come this problem ? TIA

1st GEN iPod Touch does not have Bluetooth does it?

The V3.0 firmware won't change that. It's done by design that when you connect the iPod to some devices the volume controls will disappear/will not work. The other device now controls your iPod's volume. Once unplugged, the volume controls should fade back in/start working. Happens mostly with docks, bluetooth speakers/headphones and some aux connections. It is not a bug at all.
