Irish Lottery Advice

Hello,

As the title suggests I'm looking for advice on playing the Irish Lottery. I want to set up a syndicate at work and was wondering what was the best way of doing it.
What are the rules on some one from the UK buying a ticket? are people form abroad allowed to buy them? I'd normally just log on to the official site but I'm in work and certain websites are blocked (I can't access anything which contains gambling, tobacco, alcohol or porn, unfortunately!)).
Also, where could I buy a ticket? is it best to do it online via the official website (I'll do it from home) or can you buy one from the bookies?

Thanks

you can bet on the irish lottery at any betting shop but dont think you can play it in the UK

Dont know about the rules governing the eligibility of UK residents entering the Irish Lottery but as far as syndicates are concerned, this is an entirely mutual trust agreement between friends/colleages and not necessarily a legally binding agreement at that should a dispute arise. The ticket holder of the winning ticket has sole claim to the prize.

My advice would be to get something drawn up and signed by each memeber stating something to the tune of, any tickets purchased from contributions by each signed member to the syndicate will be eligible for an equal share of any winnings as a result of tickets purchased from the syndicate fund.

And each time the tickets are purchased, have them scanned or photocopied to all members of the syndicate so that they know not only the numbers but that the tickets have been purchased.

Good luck!

I'm sure there is no reason why you couldn't play the irish Lotto, being from the UK. I get great odds from my local Labrookes bookies aswell. So worth a mention the next time you are in.

I live in Northern Ireland (UK Resident) but I am also 1minute from the Irish Border.

my grans been playing it for years from the uk, not sure how it works tho

yes you can play it in the uk no problem. Any ladbrokes do it. I tend to stick to doing 3 numbers. Try ladbrokes online, thats where i do mine. If you want any more info on it just ask here or via pm bfm

its not the same as playing the National Lottery

in fact you are not actually playing the irish lottery at all

you are betting on the odds of certain numbers being drawn.

myself and one friend intend on doing the irish lottery via ladbrooks i understand that tax is payable only on money given not on the actual winnings so how would we go about forming a syndicate for the both of us or does it have to be more than two people
