Its excellent! I go every year. There are lots of stall offering samples of alcohol and food. Demonstrations by famous chefs or their assistants. Wine tasting/Beer testing sessions - have to be booked, but only cost about £5 a head. Lots of ideas for christmas food. We get there for opening and leave about 30 mins before the end so my mom can return her mobility scooter.

If you like a tipple then eat before you go ....

    or

Dont eat and stuff your face with ALL the goodies available.........

Or just enjoy lots of both while you are there.

Take a bag for all the samples. Also dont forget the compititions. Get loads of entry forms.

Take a wheeled bag to put all your samples and goodies you buy in!! Also make sure you have a designated driver - i take my hubby!! After all the samples of spirits, wine, beer, etc I can barely walk when leaving - took me by surprise the first year, after all i was only having a small sample of each!! You can buy your own sample glass to carry to each stall.
Also if you are thinking of buying any new saucepans, kitchen gadgets, electrical items, check the prices before you go so you can see how much you're saving.
It's a big show and a long walk around and if you can manage to eat before or after "norm" lunch hours you won't waste too much time.
Toilets are always very good and clean.
Be prepared to be knocked and jostled about as very busy.
Last year I saw Jamie Oliver & Brian Turner and this year I'm seeing Gordon Ramsay.
If you want a book signed, buy it in Tesco and take with you, it will be cheaper than in the show.
Fantstic day out - hope you enjoy it!!!:roll::roll:

I saw Gordon last year and Ainsley. We go by taxi - I started on the whiskey samples at 9.30.
