Is image stabilisation on low end action cameras worth it?

Found 25th Oct 2017
I am looking for an action camera for my daughter for Xmas. Have given up on true 4K cameras at my budget, but am now thinking about image stabilised cams.

A.) Are they worth it?

B.) What are the cheapest? I identified the Firefly 7s for £45 or the Elephone Explorer X Pro for £55 are there any cheaper? Or better for similar £££

Any other thoughts on this?

Thats not really a question, if you are looking at low end then sure it's worth it. From my experience Panasonic are well worth the price if you want video. And I always tell people to check ebay for cameras as so many people buy a good camera for a expensive holiday and then have no need for. It sits around hardly used but some find their way on eBay and are a real bargain. Look for ones with the box and leads etc from a private buyer.

Thanks, I'm not sure I can afford a Panasonic on my £30 - £50 budget, but will definitely keep an eye out on ebay
